Welcome to The Island Harvest Archives Website. The purpose of

this site is to document some of the history of Island

Harvest. Founded in 1992 by Linda Breitstone on Long Island,

Island Harvest has grown from a modest organization run by a few

volunteers to an organization that now delivers over 5 million

pounds of food each year to hundreds of non-profits serving

people on Long Island.

By no means is this an exhaustive Archive. Rather, it contains a

few selections of some of Island Harvest's key moments in

history.
